Legal Team supports local green initiative

Sheffield and Chesterfield based Solicitors, Banner Jones have helped launch a green initiative designed to encourage people to shop locally whilst reducing their impact on the environment.
The initiative which is organised by Chesterfield Borough Council, aims to promote the Chesterfield Markets, encouraging shoppers to buy locally and use a ‘bag for life’ rather than plastic carrier bags. Banner Jones became involved by sponsoring the project and providing funding for the print and manufacture of the bags.
Simon Wright, Director at Banner Jones commented: ‘As a local firm of Solicitors, we are keen to support the local economy and the great institution that is Chesterfield Markets. We are therefore particularly proud to be a sponsor of the Chesterfield Market bag initiative as we also recognise the importance of environmentally friendly projects such as this’
The bags were distributed on the Chesterfield Market from 21st September and shoppers were able to exchange 5 plastic carrier bags for 1 Chesterfield Markets bag for life.
