Banner Jones is looking for an experienced Team Leader/Secretary to join our Family & Care Department based in our Chesterfield office.

Hours of business are: Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Contract: Permanent

To be considered for this position you must have a clear and professional telephone manner and possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You will supervise a small team of secretaries and administration assistants, working as part of a team providing comprehensive secretarial support to the Family and Care Department. The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will also have excellent IT, communication skills with ability to work on your own initiative.

The purpose of the position is to provide experienced secretarial and administrative support to the Family and Care Department and assist in the smooth running of the secretarial team. You will be expected to carry out a wide range of duties which will include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Competent IT skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workloads effectively
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Digital audio typing
  • Copy typing
  • Call handling
  • Diary management
  • Providing good customer service
  • File opening and management
  • Any other reasonable task.



This is a full-time position. Salary is negotiable dependant upon experience.
