If you would like to make arrangements for the management of your affairs in the eventuality that you cannot manage them yourself, we can prepare and register an Enduring Power of Attorney.
An Enduring Power of Attorney enables one or more persons, appointed by you, to deal with your affairs if you have become mentally or physically incapacitated. It avoids the lengthy and expensive procedures involving the Court of Protection which would otherwise be necessary.
The power you give to your attorneys can be restricted. For example, you can specify that the attorneys have no right to sell the house in which you live. You can also cancel or revoke a power of attorney at any time whilst you remain mentally capable.
