Probate and Letters of Administration
If the deceased left a Will, we can help the executors obtain probate. Our service includes finding out whether a Will exists and checking whether it is valid.
Where there is no Will, or if the executor is unable or unwilling to act, we can act as administrator and obtain a grant of Letters of Administration.
We help you throughout the procedure, paying the debts and liabilities of the deceased, collecting the assets and distributing them properly. We can advise whether Inheritance Tax is payable and prepare an Inland Revenue account where necessary.
Where property is to be transferred into the name of the beneficiary, our probate lawyers will work in combination with our conveyancing department.
