Putting a Spring in their Step

Chris Sellars, Director of Banner Jones says ‘I was delighted when they asked Banner Jones to host the event as it’s always a pleasure for us to support such worthy local charities.  The charity auction, hosted by local auctioneer David Tate, from Copelands was a big success and, as always, helped to raise vital funds.’

Sarah Champion, Chief Executive of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, commented “I’d like to thank Banner Jones for choosing to support Bluebell Wood for their spring ball, and all the people who attended the event. Without the help of businesses like Banner Jones, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice would not be able to help as many local children and their families as we do”.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice cares for children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy.  The hospice offers planned respite care, emergency care and end of life care to children in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and North West Lincolnshire. We estimate that there are 500 children in this region who could benefit from the support of Bluebell Wood. It costs £2.5 million every year to provide this care, and with no statutory government funding, public support is vital to the success of the hospice.
