The client sought damages under The Fatal Accidents Act 1976 in respect of the death of their spouse following treatment at a local hospital.

How we helped

A full investigation was carried out and detailed medical records considered. The client was represented at the pre-inquest review meeting with the coroner. Expert evidence was obtained from a Consultant in Respiratory medicine and claims were successfully put forward for a bereavement award along with services and earnings dependency and funeral costs. The client was awarded £123,500
