Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Childcare Solicitor with entrepreneurial and energetic qualities to join our successful Childcare Department dealing with all aspects of children matters across South Yorkshire.  The role is based in Sheffield but some flexibility may be considered. 

 

Full time Hours - Permanent contract (Part-time hours may also be considered).
Immediate Start (dependent upon notice period)

Hours of business are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm but some flexibility may also be considered.

 

The Role:

 

The role would suit someone who has a natural ability to work at pace and will be able to offer clients pragmatic advice on children matters.  We would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate a committed and commercial approach to their work, be self-motivated and confident with excellent IT skills.  They should also be someone who enjoys being part of an integrated team and be keen to undertake business development activities with the aim of continuing business growth, with particular focus in dealing with and the development of all children matters across South Yorkshire.  There will also be an expectation to provide some support to other team members in other localities including North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire from time to time whilst also being able to thrive working autonomously. 

 

The successful candidate will principally deal with the court in Sheffield and other South Yorkshire courts but also from time to time as required in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire family courts. They will have the confidence to undertake advocacy work in order to represent clients at Court.  Candidates will also be expected to hold a children panel accreditation, although, candidates eligible to apply and holders of Resolution Accreditation will also be considered. 

 

To join our well-respected Legal 500 recommended Childcare team you must be a motivated individual who is committed to developing new business.  You will possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal with front facing clients and will receive support from a well-established team who will assist in empowering you to be the best you can.    

 

Own transport/valid UK driver licence holder is desirable as there may be an element of travelling to family courts and Company offices.  More experienced candidates will be considered on merit.
