An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Law Solicitor or Legal Executive with entrepreneurial qualities to join our successful Employment Department. The role is based in Sheffield, but some flexibility may be considered.
Full time hours - Permanent contract (Part-time hours may also be considered).
Immediate start (dependent upon notice period)
Hours of business are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, but some flexibility may also be considered.
The Team advise on a full spectrum of employment matters and are skilled in all areas of advisory work, employment dispute resolution and litigation in employment tribunals. Clients range from individuals to SME’s and large corporations.
The role would suit someone who has a natural ability to work at pace and will be able to offer clients pragmatic advice on all matters relating to employment law. We would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate a committed and commercial approach to their work, be self-motivated and confident, with excellent IT skills. They should also be someone who enjoys being part of an integrated team and be keen to undertake business development activities with the aim of continuing business growth whilst also being able to thrive working autonomously.
The successful candidate will join a highly respected Company that will empower you to be the best you can. Candidates must have realistically gained a minimum of 4+ years’ employment law experience in a commercial practice, having built up technical and market knowledge, with specific experience of dealing with strategic employment law advice, complex employment tribunal claims including advocacy to at least to Preliminary Hearing stage, grievances, disciplinary proceedings, unfair dismissal and discrimination, maternity and pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, settlement agreements and data protection. Candidates should be skilled at building lasting working relationships with clients and it would also be an advantage if candidates have experience of identifying and developing marketing opportunities.
