Family Law Solicitor- Mansfield & Chesterfield
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Solicitor with 3+ years PQE to join our busy and well respected Legal 500 recommended Family team offering an exceptional quality service providing specialist guidance and advice to clients through their separation and divorce based over two offices in Mansfield and Chesterfield.
Full or Part Time Hours - Permanent Contract.
Commencement date: immediate start (Dependant on Notice period).
Hours of business are: Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

This is a dual role, the main base of which will be a stand-alone role in Mansfield, however, due to the wider team being based in Chesterfield it is likely you will work in Chesterfield at least one day a week, dependent upon business needs. The role will suit someone with excellent all round communication skills who is committed to building a career working in family law and establishing themselves in the local demographic market. The successful candidate will be required to represent clients at Court and have confidence in conducting their own Advocacy.
You will form part of strong friendly team and will receive the support and backing of a team when needed.
You will need to have a sound knowledge and experience of divorce and financial remedy proceedings, co-habitation disputes, private law children applications and injunctions. It is a predominately private case load, but a knowledge of legal aid will be required for the small percentage of legal aid cases that you will need to undertake.
To be considered for this position you must have 3+ years’ experience of working in Family law and will be experienced in managing your own caseload; possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
You should also be a motivated individual providing excellent client care that works well as part of a team and is capable of developing relationships with existing clients and expanding the company’s current caseload. You will have a clear and professional telephone manner and possess excellent computer skills; be numerate; with the ability to keep meticulous records and accounts. The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Own transport/valid UK driver licence holder is essential to this post as there may be an element of working from other offices from time to time.
Salary is negotiable, according to experience.
