We are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to join our busy and friendly accounts team at our well-regarded Company, based in Chesterfield.
Full time Hours - Permanent contract (Part-time hours may also be considered).
Immediate Start (dependent upon notice period)
Hours of business are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
The role works together with other legal cashiers in the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the accounts department and closely works with fee earners and support roles within the Company to process financial transactions.
Due to some structural changes within the department a varied and interesting role awaits the successful candidate with close interaction with the case handlers to ensure the financial management is up to date.
The successful candidate will join a Company that will develop and empower you to be the best you can. You will be expected to provide an accurate and efficient accounts service to the Company ensuring all accounting procedures are carried out legally and in a timely manner in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
To be considered for this position you must be an honest and trustworthy individual who has the ability to be methodical and who is able to work under pressure to meet the daily demands of our busy Accounts Department. The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, and proactive.
The Successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to change, problem solve and form solutions speedily and efficiently whilst also working as part of a team. Excellent all round communication, IT skills and attention to detail is essential. Applications received from candidates who have previous experience of working within a Legal Accounts setting will be at a distinct advantage. We will also consider applications from candidates who have had general accounts experience as a thorough training programme will be provided.
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
- Close interaction with the case handlers to ensure the financial management is up to date
- Holiday cover of Residential Property completions
- Using online banking facilities, BACS, transferring funds between accounts and making electronic payments
- Handling general enquiries, reconciling accounts ledgers and resolving queries
- Any other reasonable tasks
