What do you specialise in?
Sara is a qualified Chartered Legal Executive specialising in HR and Employment law. Sara worked as a paralegal whilst studying with CILEX providing her with a substantial amount of experience prior to qualifying in 2011.
Sara advises on all areas of HR and employment law including complex dismissal claims, large scale redundancy situations, sensitive discrimination issues and industrial disputes. Sara provides advice and support at all stages from internal disputes to full Tribunal representation. Whilst Sara does particularly enjoy being involved in Tribunal litigation and the technical arguments that unfold, she also enjoys finding an amicable solution for her clients at an early stage which can save time and costs but also the emotional distress that is often created by workplace fall outs.
Throughout her career Sara has advised a wide range of individuals and businesses as well as charities and not for profit organisations. This provides her with a better overview of any given situation and enables Sara to provide her clients with practical, easy to understand advice in an efficient and cost effective manner. Prior to joining the firm Sara was the head of employment at Taylor Bracewell where she successfully secured the department a place in the Legal 500 for the last 2 years. Sara was named in the Legal 500 for her “straight talking” approach.
Sara has substantial experience in representing clients who have the benefit of legal expenses insurance and has for many years supported businesses via employment protection plans which she will continue to do via our Employer Assist scheme/ program. Offering this service to businesses enables Sara to really get to know her client’s business and working alongside them daily to ensure it safely and effectively manages its’ staff and reducing difficult HR situations that can create future problems and risk to the business.
Sara is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
