Why did you apply to Banner Jones?

After completing my law degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 I was keen to kick-start my career in law. I had heard about Banner Jones through fellow graduates who had been given excellent career opportunities within Banner Jones and loved working for them, so I was thrilled when an administration assistant role in the Sheffield office became available and I was offered the job. It was evident that Banner Jones value their staff and that career progression was encouraged throughout the firm so I was excited to join the Banner Jones team and start building my career.

How has Banner Jones assisted in your career progression?

Having joined Banner Jones as an administration assistant, I have now completed my CILEx exams and manage my own caseload as a Graduate Legal Executive with the assistance of a Paralegal. It was very early on in my time at Banner Jones that I expressed an interest in furthering my education and studying to become a Chartered Legal Executive and Banner Jones fully supported me in this -  both financially and emotionally! I was given the time I needed to study for my exams and my colleagues were always on hand to provide me with support and to test me on my revision notes.

What sets the Banner Jones experience apart from past employers?

I have always felt like a valued team member at Banner Jones, there is a great sense of community between staff members and it is great working in such a positive and upbeat environment. Banner Jones organise lots of activities where members of staff and their families are able to get involved and there is so much support for ventures both in and outside of the working environment.

In summary, what is it like working at Banner Jones?

I enjoy the challenges that working in a fast-paced law firm brings! Every day is different and the constant training provided by Banner Jones means that I am always learning new things to help me progress in my career.
