Banner Jones Solicitors to sponsor Dronfield’s Medieval Festival

Dronfield Heritage Trust, creator of the town’s popular Medieval Festival, is delighted to announce Banner Jones Solicitors as headline sponsor for this summer’s event. The two-day family extravaganza takes place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June in the grounds of the late-Medieval Dronfield Hall Barn.

Banner Jones, an award-winning full service legal firm with offices in Dronfield, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Mansfield, are well established in the area and want to show their commitment to the community by working closely with the charitable trust in this way.

Marketing Manager at Banner Jones Solicitors, Lynne Pope, commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Dronfield Heritage Trust’s Medieval Festival this year. As a firm with strong roots in the local area, giving back to the community is one of Banner Jones’ core missions. Events like this play an important role in bringing people together, celebrating local heritage and creating a real sense of pride in our communities, and we’re proud to be part of that."

The Festival will run from 10am – 5pm and be led by Sheffield-based reenactors Knights in Battle whose performances have captivated audiences for many years. From sword fight scenes and weaponry displays, to cooking demonstrations and grisly depictions of ancient medical treatments, the Festival will entertain hundreds of visitors from across the region.

"Events like the Medieval Festival are what the Barn does best. We look forward to sharing the delights of the medieval period with children’s and adults alike. You can expect spectacle, hands on activity and delicious food and drinks throughout. So come and join us for what promises to be a weekend full of merriment". Sarah Hartshorne, DHT Heritage & Research Trustee.

Tickets allowing entry to the event for one day are £6 (aged 17+), £4 (aged 2-16 years) with under 2’s free. The Barn Coffee Shop will serve meals and drinks across the two days, there is a bar and several Festival-themed stalls  including children’s crafts and traditional games.
