Zena joined Banner Jones as Private Client Executive in the Mansfield office in June 2025. Having worked in Private Client law since 2000, she specialises in Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney but also enjoys the Probate aspect of the role. She helps clients to make plans for their future and for their family’s future by assisting them with their estate planning needs. Working with them to find solutions for any concerns they may have with the eventual distribution of their estates, whether this be because of a blended family and a wish to preserve/protect inheritance or whether they have any vulnerable beneficiaries who may not be able to inherit out right (e.g. because of entitlement to state benefits or simply because they would not be able to manage their own financial affairs).
Zena is very approachable and likes to build a lasting relationship with clients. Zena says “Helping to build client trust in what we offer is important and ensuring that if they do have any concerns, they feel comfortable contacting us to put their minds at rest”.

As specialists in inheritance and succession planning, STEP members draft wills and trusts, administer estates, act as trustees and advise families on how best to structure their finances to ensure compliance and preserve their assets for future generations. Some examples of what STEP members may advise on are:
- providing for someone following their partner’s death, while protecting the interests of their children;
- ensuring elderly or vulnerable relatives are cared for and supported;
- helping families with interests spread across the world to be compliant with the laws and tax rules of different countries;
- ensuring that a family business will pass safely from one generation to another;
- helping clients to support charitable causes in an effective way.
