What do you specialise in?
Katie is a Solicitor specialising in Employment Law. She deals with all aspects of employment law and advises a wide range of individuals and private, public and third sector clients with regards to employment law, HR and TUPE issues.
Katie advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, including claims for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and discrimination. She also advises and supports clients in relation to employment contracts, grievances, disciplinary matters, other policies and procedures and settlement agreements (formerly known as compromise agreements).
Katie's particular expertise is in TUPE, the law relating to handling redundancies, collective consultation and trade unions, and she has advised on complex TUPE situations for local and national organisations.
She also has a wealth of experience in representing clients before the Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the Court of Appeal and in mediation, including judicial mediation.
Katie acts for both employers and individuals, which enables her to provide straightforward advice and support, having seen the arguments first hand from both sides.
Katie prides herself on getting to know her clients and building lasting relationships so that clients feel that she is there to support them by offering pragmatic and workable solutions to issues that arise in the workplace.
