Banner Jones shortlisted across five categories at prestigious Sheffield legal awards

Leading regional law firm Banner Jones has been shortlisted across five categories at this year’s Sheffield & District Law Society Awards, underlining the firm’s continued strength across a wide range of legal services.

The firm has been recognised in the following categories: Employment Law, Residential Property, Commercial Property, Private Client, and Dispute Resolution.

The shortlisting follows a successful ceremony last year, where Banner Jones secured Employment Law Team of the Year for the fourth consecutive year, alongside Family Law solicitor, Lauren Mahon’s, Rising Star Award, reinforcing the firm’s consistent track record at the awards.

Recognition spans both personal and commercial legal services. Banner Jones’ Residential Property Team, ranked among the UK’s leading conveyancing firms, has been shortlisted for its client-focused approach and use of innovative digital solutions.

The Private Client Team has also been recognised following a period of significant growth, including the expansion of a dedicated team in Sheffield.

The firm’s Employment Law Team, led by Katie Ash and Sara Patel, continues to be recognised for advising individuals and employers on complex workplace matters, while the Dispute Resolution Team has been shortlisted for its strategic, client-centred approach to resolving complex cases.

Shortlisting for the Commercial Property Award builds on further momentum for the team, which was recognised in the Legal 500 for the first time in 2025.

Commenting on the news, Banner Jones’ Chief Executive Simon Wright said: “Being shortlisted across five practice areas reflects the breadth and consistency of our teams. Following last year’s success, it’s particularly rewarding to see such a wide range of our work recognised.

“These awards are among the most prestigious in South Yorkshire, and recognition at this level remains hugely important to us as a firm with deep roots in the region.”

The winners will be announced at the Sheffield & District Law Society Awards ceremony later this year.
